THE ROLE
The YMCA South Australia Youth Parliament is a non-partisan program designed to offer young people aged 15-25 years old a platform to voice their opinion on important topics. It aims to foster the development of leadership skills, enhance parliamentary understanding, and strengthen engagement with democracy.
A program run by young people for young people, it is an unmissable opportunity to express their views on issues they are passionate about, develop confidence and leadership skills, and explore new opportunities in a safe and supportive environment.
The Youth Programs Administration Officer is a key position in the Youth Parliament team. The Youth Programs Administration Officer’s role is to support the delivery of Youth Parliament programs. This includes:
- Planning and developing activities
- Delivering safe and engaging activities while on program/camp
- Ensuring the program stays on schedule
- Supporting staff and volunteers to complete their tasks and ensuring program outcomes are met
This is a part-time role, with 15 hours per week on offer.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid or equivalent.
- HLTAID009 Perform CPR or equivalent.
- Certificate of completion for “Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect” (RRHAN-EC) training
- Food Handling Certificate
