What is Junior Parliament
Junior Parliament is a non-partisan program that gives young people an opportunity to learn about democracy, parliament, team building, public speaking and leadership in a fun and supportive environment. Junior Parliament is a program for young people aged 12–15 and is an abridged version of the successful Youth Parliament program.
Junior Parliament is run by young people for young people. It’s a chance to BE THE CHANGE on the issues you care about, meet some new friends & develop leadership skills.
The program is a three-day camp that includes mentoring, skill building and leadership opportunities. Participants share their big ideas, discuss the challenges facing South Australia and create solutions in the form of Youth Bills.

WHEN: 6 - 8 October, 2026
WHERE: Convention Centre and Parliament House of South Australia
WHO CAN APPLY? South Australian residents aged 12 - 15 years old
COST: A participation fee of $300.00 per person that covers meals and entry fees during the program
SPONSORSHIP: Participants can receive assistance to seek external sponsorship for participant fees (note that the participants are responsible for organising their sponsorship)
