Diplomas and Degrees in Youth Work, Social Work, Allied Health, Health, Sport and Recreation, Creative Arts, Psychology, Behavioural and Social Sciences, Disability, Community Services and Leisure and Health, or two years completed of a four year Teaching degree are accepted as first qualified.

Certificate III or IV in Education, Care, or Disability, or successful completion of 50% of a Diploma in Education, Care, or Disability are accepted as second qualified.

THE ROLE

We are seeking an OSHC Qualified Assistant Director to join us at our YMCA SA OSHC site in the Woodcroft area.

As our OSHC Qualified Assistant Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading our passionate and dedicated team to create a supportive work atmosphere and deliver outstanding programs that promote children's growth and development.

Your leadership and expertise will ensure that our care, recreation, and leisure programs
are of the highest quality, providing children with the best possible experiences. You
will inspire continuous learning and professional development among our educators,
sharing information and knowledge on best practices, policy developments, and
community changes.

As a motivated and customer-focused leader, you will go above and beyond to maintain the highest quality of service, placing a strong emphasis on the social, emotional, and interpersonal development of children.

The role is a part-time opportunity with 20 to 30 hours available.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

  • ACECQA approved Qualification - Cert III/IV, Diploma or higher-level qualification
  • Certificate of completion for “Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care” Masterclass Training
  • HLTAID009 CPR
  • HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in Education and Care
  • Food Handling Training
  • Sounds knowledge of OSHC Quality Assurance and recognised School Age Care Framework
