Lifeguard - The Valleys Lifestyle Centre & Riverton Pool

THE ROLE

The YMCA of South Australia is seeking highly motivated, passionate and professional people to form part of our Lifeguard team at The Valleys Lifestyle Centre located in Clare, and the Riverton Outdoor Pool. The Valleys Lifestyle Centre features a 10-metre pool, heated to 32 degrees. The pool is available for a range of activities including aqua exercise classes, swimming lessons and water safety instruction.

Pool Lifeguards at YMCA facilities take on a much greater responsibility than simply supervising water space. As well as identifying potential risk factors and taking steps to reduce those risks, lifeguards will act as positive role models to build happier, healthier communities within the facilities that we manage.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful Lifeguard candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

• SISSS00133 Pool Lifeguard or equivalent.
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid or equivalent.
• HLTAID009 Perform CPR or equivalent.
