THE ROLE

Based at YMCA SA Gymnastics Glengowrie, you’ll lead an energetic team of coaches and champion the delivery of inclusive gymnastics programs that foster skill development, confidence and community connection. Your industry experience will play a key role in further strengthening program quality, coach development and participant progression.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, refine and grow gymnastics programs that encourage participation, skill progression and long-term engagement
- Provide ongoing mentoring, training and performance support to coaches, enhancing technical delivery, safer programs and program consistency
- Oversee participant development, program performance and progression pathways, ensuring growth targets and quality benchmarks are achieved
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, schools and community stakeholders to strengthen engagement and program reputation
- Ensure all programs meet safeguarding, safety and quality requirements aligned with YMCA values and industry standards
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Our ideal candidate will have, or be willing to obtain the following:
- National Police Check (issued in the last 6 months)
- DHS Working With Children Check
- International Criminal History Record Check (if worked/lived overseas in the last 5 years)
- Gymnastics Australia Technical Membership
- Gym Sport Coaching Accreditation - Gymnastics South Australia (Intermediate or Advanced)
- (HLTAID0011) Provide First Aid or equivalent
- (HLTAID009) Provide CPR or equivalent
- RRHAN-EC Masterclass – Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education & Care
- Minimum 2 years' experience delivering gymnastics programs
- Demonstrated leadership experience
