THE ROLE

Here, you’ll play a bigger role than just being a poolside supervisor, you’ll also be a role model and a community builder. Based at Purruna Spencer Newton Centre, you’ll be part of a lively and energetic team that actively strives to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide active supervision to ensure the safety of all pool users
  • Identify risks and respond quickly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies
  • Deliver first aid when required
  • Promote safe aquatic practices and encourage positive behaviours among patrons
  • Assist with pool operations, including equipment setup, pack down, and compliance with safety standard

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE Y

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

  • National Police Check (issued in the last 6 months)
  • DHS Working With Children Check
  • International Criminal History Record Check (if worked/lived overseas in the last 5 years)
  • Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • Certificate of completion for “Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care” Training
  • (HLTAID011) Provide First Aid or equivalent Certificate
  • (HLTAID009) Provide CPR or equivalent Certificate
