THE ROLE

The Kensington Community Leisure Centre is looking for an energetic and committed instructor to take on Strength & Conditioning, and Strength for Life 'Stay Strong' classes within our group fitness program on a weekly basis.

As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will deliver high quality group fitness classes within prescribed program formats/guidelines whilst ensuring the health and safety of all participants. You will be building rapport with participants, fostering a sense of belonging, and also ensure that the required studio is set up and ready to commence as per scheduled time, and pack up at the end of each class.

This role is ideal for someone looking for extra work, with the possibility of additional hours in other roles across YMCA SA. At minimum, successful applicants must be available Thursday evenings 5:30 – 7:30pm.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

Successful candidates for our Group Fitness Instructor role will also have, or be willing to obtain:

  • Certificate IV in Fitness, or equivalent

  • Strength for Life Stay Strong Qualification

  • (HLTAID009) Provide CPR

  • (HLTAID011) First Aid

  • AusActive Registration
