THE ROLE

Strathalbyn Early Learning Centre is seeking a dedicated and passionate Diploma-Qualified Educator to join our team. As a renowned provider of exceptional care and education to children, we are committed to delivering the highest standards of service to families in our care. This position is offered on a full-time (38 hours per week) basis, with potential to become a team leader role.

Working under the guidance of our experienced ELC Director, your responsibilities will include assisting families with sensitivity and professionalism, assisting with positive behaviour management procedures, and promoting the inclusion of children with additional needs.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

  • National Police Check (issued in the last 6 months)
  • DHS Working With Children Check
  • International Criminal History Record Check (if worked/lived overseas in the last 5 years)
  • A Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education (or other equivalent field)
  • (HLTAID009) Provide CPR
  • (HLTAID012) Provide Emergency First Aid in an Education and Care Setting
  • Certificate of completion for “Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect” (RRHAN) training
  • Experience interacting with groups of children from 0-6 years
  • Awareness of accountability, legal liability, and duty of care to children
