THE ROLE
YMCA SA Marion Leisure and Fitness Centre is looking for Customer Care Officers and Duty Managers to join us and contribute towards continuing our excellent customer service and operations at the centre. As a central facility for sport and recreation programs in Marion, our centre is a place where locals connect, stay active and build healthier lifestyles, and you’ll be right at the heart of it.
Customer Care Officer: As a YMCA SA Customer Care Officer, every interaction you have is a chance to create a welcoming experience, support community connection, and ensure our members and guests feel informed and valued. You will be the face of our centre, and your day-to-day duties will involve greeting visitors, assisting with enquiries, managing memberships and transactions, and providing key information about our programs and services. You’ll be joining a vibrant and supportive team to deliver excellent customer service.
Duty Manager: As a YMCA SA Duty Manager, you will act as the on-site representative during rostered shifts, leading and supporting teams across recreation areas while overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen your operational expertise while developing practical leadership skills in a supportive and community-focused environment.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE Y
Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:
HLTAID009 Provide CPR
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (for Duty Managers)
RRHAN-EC Masterclass - Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect Certification (for Duty Managers)
Applicants must be above 18 years of age. Junior rates may apply, for applicants under 20 years of age.
