Based at St Clair Recreation Centre, you'll be the welcoming face of our centre, ensuring every guest feels valued, supported and informed. You'll also be joining a vibrant team and be working at a state-of-the-art recreation centre that offers a wealth of services to individuals of all ages!


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Care Officer

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to enquiries in person, on the phone and via email
  • Assist with membership sales, program information and general administration
  • Manage cash handling, POS transactions and café or merchandise sales
  • Support the smooth daily operations of the centre, including acting as the primary contact for customers
  • Maintain knowledge of services, bookings, events and emergency procedures

Café/Kiosk Attendant

  • Prepare, serve food and beverages that are in line with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Manage cash handling, POS transactions and café or kiosk sales
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of café, bar, and dining areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to all members and guests, ensuring a positive customer experience
  • Support café operations by adhering to YMCA policies and Work Health and Safety standards

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE Y

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

  • National Police Check (issued in the last 6 months)
  • DHS Working With Children Check
  • International Criminal History Record Check (if worked/lived overseas in the last 5 years)

Customer Care Officers:

  • HLTAID009 Perform CPR or equivalent

Café/Kiosk Attendant:

  • Food Handling Certificate
  • HLTAID009 Perform CPR or equivalent
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid or equivalent
  • Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (desirable)
