Welcoming families to a fresh start in Whyalla as YMCA SA opens a new OSHC service.
YMCA South Australia has opened a new Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service at Whyalla Town Primary School, offering a welcoming and supportive environment for local families needing out of school hours care.
Launched at the start of Term 2, the new service provides before and after school care during term time, plus vacation care during school holidays. Located on-site at the school and offering high-quality, flexible care options.
“The transition to the Y went smoothly. Educators supported the changes and were keen and ready to get started” said Kylie Craig, OSHC Regional Manager North.

This new offering reinforces YMCA SA’s mission to strengthen communities by supporting families across regional South Australia. The Whyalla OSHC is open to both the school community and broader local families during vacation periods.
Families interested in the service can begin the enrolment process online here.
