Physiotherapy and exercise physiology clinic open at St Clair

YMCA South Australia has expanded its Allied Health services into Adelaide’s western suburbs, with physiotherapy and exercise physiology now available at St Clair Recreation Centre.

The new clinic supports people of all ages and abilities, from school sport participants to older  adults . The team can assist with diagnosing and treating injuries, pre and post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic health conditions, pain reduction and a safe return to sport. Head of Allied Health Services Kym Siddons said the clinic will work with people managing long-term conditions alongside those recovering from acute injuries.

“There is a real opportunity to help people with specific health needs- including arthritis, heart or lung disease, diabetes and cancer- improve their quality of life through tailored treatment methods and supervised exercise,” Kym said.

“We can also support adolescents and social sport participants to prevent injuries and rehabilitate effectively. With the gym onsite, Allied Health is a natural fit that can positively impact the local community.”

St Clair becomes YMCA SA’s fifth Allied Health location in five years, joining The Parks Recreation and Sports Centre, Marion Leisure & Fitness Centre, Purruna Spencer Newton Centre and Holdfast Bay Community Centre.

This growth reflects YMCA SA’s commitment to supporting the whole person across body, mind and spirit. By placing clinicians inside familiar recreation environments, the Y connects professional care with movement, confidence and long-term wellbeing.

Clients can book privately without a GP referral, with private health rebates available through HICAPS. The clinic also supports Medicare, NDIS, DVA, My Aged Care, Return to Work SA and CTP funding pathways. Appointments can be booked online through the St Clair Recreation Centre website or by calling YMCA Allied Health on 8200 2555.
