Swim Teachers - The Parks Recreation and Sports Centre

THE ROLE

The YMCA of South Australia is seeking highly motivated, passionate and professional people to join us at The Parks Recreation and Sports Centre, located at Angle Park, SA. The Parks Recreation and Sports Centre includes a fully equipped swimming pool and state-of-the-art aquatic facilities and programs with a focus on providing swimming lessons for people of all ages and abilities.

As a YMCA Swim Teacher, you will play a key role in the success of our Swimming Lessons Program, ensuring participants of all ages and abilities receive top-quality, safe, and engaging instruction. You will foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment in your classes and work collaboratively within a dedicated team.

We are looking for Swim Teachers who are committed to delivering professional, high-quality swimming lessons in line with our philosophies, and whom are passionate about creating a positive and educational experience for all participants. The role offers flexibility in hours, with availability on weekends preferable.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful Swim Teacher candidates will also have or be willing to obtain:

• AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety or Swim Australia Teacher accreditation or equivalent
• HLTAID009 Perform CPR or equivalent
• RRHAN-EC Masterclass – Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education & Care
