ABOUT THE ROLE
Based at Thebarton Aquatic Centre in Torrensville, you'll be teaching a life-long skill to students of all ages and abilities. You will be planning and delivering swimming lessons, tracking their progress and keeping parents informed along the way. This is a casual role with flexible shifts to suit study or other commitments. Key duties of this role are:
Planning and delivering swimming lessons in line with the YMCA SA curriculum
Tracking student progress and communicating regularly with parents and carers
Supervising pool users actively to ensure safety at all times
Creating a welcoming, inclusive environment that supports students and families
Maintaining equipment setup and safety compliance
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Successful candidates will have, or be willing to obtain:
AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (or equivalent)
HLTAID009 Provide CPR (or willingness to obtain)
RRHAN-EC Masterclass (or willingness to complete)
Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for aquatics education
