Programs Team Leader - The Parks Recreation and Sports Centre

Department: Sport & Recreation

Type: Part-time

Posted: 30 October 2026

Closes: 30 November 2026

THE ROLE

The Parks Recreation & Sports Centre is a multi-discipline sports and aquatic centre in Adelaide’s western suburbs. As Programs Team Leader, you will be at the centre of what happens at The Parks. You will plan and schedule stadium bookings, Kids Club casual bookings and community birthday parties, and keep everyone in the loop along the way.

You will also run the school holiday program (SHP) from start to finish. That means designing fun, creative programs, promoting them, and building the roster to bring them to life.

This is a hands-on, visible role. You will work closely with the centre’s leadership team and get to know members, user groups and the local community. Your ideas will help the YMCA deliver a caring, memorable experience and make a real difference locally.

We are looking for an organised, motivated leader who wants to grow a team. If you enjoy coaching others, building a great culture and keeping energy high, this is a great step up. You will need strong communication and presentation skills, and the confidence to thrive in a busy, ever-changing environment.

This is a part-time opportunity with an average of 30 hours per week, offering a great balance between work and lifestyle.
