Eligibility is not limited to childcare specific diplomas or certificates. Many qualifications from related fields are recognised.

Diplomas and degrees in Youth Work, Social Work, Allied Health, Health, Sport and Recreation, Creative Arts, Psychology, Behavioural and Social Sciences, Disability, Community Services and Leisure and Health are accepted as first qualified.

Certificate III or IV in Education, Care, or Disability, or successful completion of 50% of a Diploma in Education, Care, or Disability are accepted as second qualified.

Two years completed of a four-year Teaching degree are also accepted as first qualified.

ABOUT THE Y

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our OSHC team delivering safe, play-based programs for children aged 5–12 before and after school and during school holidays. You’ll plan and deliver inclusive learning experiences that support children’s social, emotional, and physical development alongside a close-knit team. Key duties are:

· Deliver developmentally appropriate, play-based programs for children aged 5–12

· Supervise and support children’s safety, wellbeing, and active participation

· Build trust with children, families, and school communities

· Collaborate with your team and Service Director to plan and improve programs

· Maintain accurate records and uphold regulatory and safeguarding standards

 

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

· ACECQA approved qualification - Cert III/IV, Diploma or higher-level qualification (Qualified Educators only)

· HLTAID009 CPR + HLTAID012 First Aid in Education and Care (or willingness to obtain)

· RRHAN-EC Masterclass (or willingness to complete)

· Food Handling Training (or willingness to complete)

· Sound knowledge of OSHC Quality Assurance and the School Age Care Framework
