THE ROLE

Aldinga Payinthi College Early Learning Centre is seeking dedicated and passionate Assistant Educators to join their team. Flexible working opportunities available; i.e. Full-time, Part-time or Casual.

As an Assistant Educator:

  • You will prioritise engaging with children, families, and the wider community.
  • Enjoy supporting the team to plan and implement an educational program and engaging experiences to meet the individual needs of our children.
  • You have a strong working knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.
  • Opportunities to network with relevant stakeholders in YMCA and the local community.
  • Work with a small, close-knit team with opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • Time to document children’s learning and development (off the floor).

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • You are passionate and enthusiastic about education of children between the ages of 0-5 years.
  • Hold a Cert III, Diploma (or higher) qualification in Early childhood education or equivalent - approved by ACECQA. (or be willing to obtain)
  • Current approved first aid, anaphylaxis, and asthma qualifications.
  • Experience in an early childhood setting.
  • A sound understanding of the EYLF and NQF.
  • Confidence to build strong relationships and partnerships with children and families.
  • The ability to implement stimulating programs, and support the curriculum based on the children's interests and the EYLF.
  • The ability to observe and record children’s learning and contribute to their educational portfolios.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
