THE ROLE

If so, here's your opportunity to join YMCA SA as a Duty Manager. Based at Fleurieu Aquatic Centre, you will provide supervision to assigned teams while overseeing daily operations, ensuring staff productivity, monitoring process compliance and creating a positive and safe work environment for all employees and patrons visiting the facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and supervise staff to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient daily operations.
  • Actively monitor aquatic areas and ensure aquatic ratios are in adherence to the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations.
  • Coordinate lifeguard rotations, conduct pool and facility checks, and respond to incidents and emergencies in line with procedures.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, resolving enquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Open and close the facility, complete reporting, cash handling, and general administration tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all patrons and staff.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE Y

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

  • National Police Check (issued in the last 6 months)
  • DHS Working With Children Check
  • International Criminal History Record Check (if worked overseas in the last 5 years)
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid or equivalent.
  • HLTAID009 Perform CPR or equivalent.
  • SISSS00133 Pool Lifeguard or equivalent.
  • SISSS00131 Aquatic Technical Operator or equivalent.
