All positions are casual roles and must be available to work early mornings, evenings and weekends. Required qualifications for each role are available on request.
*CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICERS*
Be the face of our organisation, responsible for ensuring all members and guests receive the highest possible level of service. Based at the front desk, you will be the first and main point of contact for all facility members and guests. You will be responsible for cash handling and POS, telephone operation, tours, program bookings and sales, and membership sales and enquiries.
*BIRTHDAY PARTY HOST*
Our Birthday Party Hosts are committed to customer service and safety in the YMCA Birthday Party Program. The position requires an energetic and responsible person with excellent communication skills. You will ensure fun and safety are at the forefront of the program and activities you are leading, while Assist in achieving customer satisfaction by providing an enjoyable experience for all participants.
Our birthday party hosts teach roller skating based activities for children's birthday parties. Although experience in roller-skating isn’t required, applicants must have a willingness to learn new skills in skating, and then teach children to skate. Applicants must also maintain a basic and current knowledge of roller skating. Enthusiasm for working with children and young people, and a charismatic personality are ideal for this role.
This position operates from the café and bar areas, and requires a knowledge and understanding of food handling skills, nutritional values, responsible service of alcohol and customer service. The Cafe Attendant is responsible for cash handling, food preparation and service, responsible service of alcohol, cleaning and ensuring the health and safety of customers.
The Cafe Attendant will possess excellent customer service skills and enjoy working in a service-orientated role
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Successful candidates will have, or be willing to obtain:
- Current HLTAID001 Provide CPR
- Current Responding to Abuse and Neglect
- A national criminal history check
- Role-specific qualifications (see position descriptions)
